Levan Jgharkava Introduced the New Head of the Dusheti Laboratory to the Staff
The Director of the Agricultural State Laboratory, Levan Jgharkava, reviewed the infrastructure and working processes of the Dusheti Laboratory and introduced its new Head, Vladimir Baratashvili, to the staff.
During the meeting with the staff, the participants discussed current issues related to the laboratory’s activities, ways to improve the accessibility of laboratory services in the region, and areas for developing its existing capabilities.
“Strengthening regional laboratories is one of our key priorities. We want laboratory services to be even more accessible at the local level and for regional laboratories to have the capacity to provide farmers with high-quality and timely services. The development of the Dusheti Laboratory serves precisely this purpose,” said Levan Jgharkava.
The Dusheti Laboratory provides relevant laboratory services to representatives of the agricultural sector in the region. Strengthening the regional network will increase the availability of laboratory testing locally and contribute to improved services.
The Agricultural State Laboratory’s network comprises 13 regional laboratories across Georgia. The network provides diagnostics of animal diseases and plant pests, as well as laboratory testing of food and water.
