Visit to the Kutaisi Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory
Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Solomon Pavliashvili and Director of the State Laboratory of Agriculture Irakli Guledani visited the Kutaisi Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory for a working meeting.
During the visit, they were briefed on the ongoing and completed initiatives aimed at strengthening the laboratory. The discussion also focused on the laboratory’s expansion needs and future development plans.
Particular attention was given to the introduction of diagnostic research methods for fish diseases and the laboratory’s technical capabilities in this area.
"The introduction of fish disease diagnostics at the Kutaisi Laboratory will enable timely and region-specific testing in Western Georgia," stated Deputy Minister Pavliashvili. "It is important to note that within the broader effort to align with EU legislation, the country is actively implementing new research methods. Our key objective is to ensure that residents in the region have access to internationally recognized testing services locally. This advancement will also support the efficient implementation of activities under state control programs."
