A meeting with beekeeping farmers was held at the Zugdidi Agricultural Extension Center "Agrosakhli," where participants discussed current challenges in the beekeeping sector and emphasized the role of laboratory diagnostics in maintaining hive health and productivity.

Anna Gulbani, Deputy Director of the State Laboratory of Agriculture, and Marina Ghvinjilia, Head of the Food Research Department, introduced attendees to the laboratory’s capabilities and available diagnostic methods. The discussion also addressed strategies for preventing losses caused by bee diseases and improving overall management practices.

“As part of our initiative, the State Laboratory of Agriculture continues to engage directly with farmers across the country, ensuring they are informed about the diagnostic services available to them. Our laboratory network is well-equipped to deliver timely, internationally recognized testing that supports the needs of the agricultural sector,” stated Anna Gulbani.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Georgian Beekeepers' Association, the Rural Development Agency, the National Food Agency, and the State Laboratory of Agriculture, along with local beekeepers.
