Plant Pest Diagnostics Department Successfully Passes International Qualification Test

The Plant Pest Diagnostics Department of the State Laboratory of Agriculture has successfully passed an international qualification test focused on the identification of Curtobacterium flaccumfaciens pv. flaccumfaciens, the bacterium responsible for diseases in leguminous crops.

The testing confirmed the laboratory’s ability to accurately detect the pathogen using both classical bacteriological techniques and molecular biology methods. The evaluation panel, provided as part of the proficiency test, was assessed by specialists from the Phytopathology and Molecular Biology Laboratory, who achieved a 100% rating.

This success reaffirms the laboratory’s high level of expertise and its commitment to maintaining international standards. It is also noteworthy that the specialists of the State Laboratory of Agriculture consistently participate in and successfully complete professional qualification tests and training each year.
