Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Solomon Pavliashvili, together with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Adjara Autonomous Republic, Irma Apkhazava, and representatives of Georgian Fish & Caviar, visited one of the largest fish farms located in the village of Khutsubani, Kobuleti Municipality, where they held a meeting with local farmers.

The discussion focused on the current challenges in fish production and the vital role of laboratory diagnostics in the sustainable development of aquaculture.

“The state is fully prepared to support the export of fish products produced in Georgia to international markets. The laboratory component plays a critical role in the development of the aquaculture sector. Local farmers are encouraged to actively collaborate with the laboratory to ensure the production of safe and healthy Georgian products. Strong regional fish farms contribute significantly to the creation of a robust and quality-driven aquaculture industry,” noted Solomon Pavliashvili.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Adjara, the Organic Aquaculture Development Association "Forage," the National Food Agency, and the State Laboratory of Agriculture.
