The Akhaltsikhe Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory of the State Laboratory of Agriculture successfully completed an international qualification test
The qualification assessment, focused on the diagnosis of rinderpest through serological and molecular biology methods, was conducted within the veterinary field.
The international testing initiative was organized with the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
As part of the qualification process, the laboratory received a standardized test panel, which was examined by specialists from the Akhaltsikhe Zonal Diagnostic Laboratory. The laboratory achieved a 100% rating, confirming its ability to accurately diagnose the targeted disease.
It is important to highlight that regional laboratories within the State Laboratory of Agriculture network actively participate in continuous qualification improvement efforts. Specialists from these laboratories successfully complete professional qualification tests and training programs on an annual basis.
