The State Laboratory of Agriculture organized international-level training

The teaching of veterinary entomology was led by Turkish experts who conducted theoretical and practical training.
The guests discussed veterinary entomology, including how to gather diagnostic samples of disease-carrying culicoids, mosquitoes, and ticks, as well as how to identify and combat them.

The training covered theoretical topics as well as practical and field activities. Participants in the study learned about the taxonomy, features, and methods of capturing culicoides, mosquitoes, and ticks. The required insects were captured using special traps and equipment, and they were identified following preparation processes.


The seminar was attended by representatives from the State Laboratory of Agriculture, National Food Agency, and Scientific Center for Risk Assessment and Analysis in the Field of Food Safety.

The State Laboratory of Agriculture is actively engaged in scientific research initiatives and collaboration with foreign organizations.
