With the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the direction of food safety in the State Laboratory of Agriculture has been strengthened. The laboratory has the ability to use international diagnostic techniques and test food for various chemical hazards, including various contaminants, animal drug residues, mycotoxins, etc.
As a result of international laboratory diagnostics, the country's product is competitive and meets the requirements of the European Union, as well as other foreign and domestic markets.
The State Laboratory of Agriculture's deputy director and head of international scientific research projects, Anna Gulbani, stated, "Over the course of the project carried out together with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the possibilities of the network of the State Laboratory of Agriculture have been significantly increased, the latest laboratory equipment has been purchased, lab specialists have been trained and international level research has been introduced."It should be mentioned that the State Laboratory of Agriculture actively collaborates with foreign donors; several successful projects have been carried out as part of this cooperation.
