An international-level training in veterinary entomology was conducted, organized by the State Laboratory of Agriculture
The training was facilitated by Turkish experts, who delivered both theoretical sessions and practical exercises.
During the training, participants engaged in discussions on the taxonomy and morphology of insect vectors, as well as methods for collecting, processing, and identifying samples of insects that transmit vector-borne diseases such as bluetongue and West Nile fever. Strategies for their control and prevention were also addressed.
The training was attended by specialists from the State Laboratory of Agriculture and the National Food Agency, along with Armenian colleagues from the Scientific Center for Risk Assessment and Analysis in the Field of Food Safety of Armenia.
The State Laboratory of Agriculture continues to actively engage in scientific research projects and collaborate with international organizations; within the framework of this cooperation, numerous successful projects and research initiatives have been carried out.
