Laboratory Specialists Complete Advanced Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) Training
Specialists from the State Laboratory of Agriculture recently completed a refresher course in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) protocols. The training, conducted at the Lugar Center for Public Health Research, focused on critical topics essential for operating in a high-containment laboratory environment. These included disinfection and decontamination procedures, proper handling and transportation of biological samples, and effective spill response techniques.
Participants included professionals from the Laboratory’s Animal Disease Diagnostics and Biosafety Departments.
This initiative highlights the Laboratory’s ongoing collaboration with partner organizations. Through these partnerships, numerous successful training sessions have been conducted, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to maintaining high biosafety standards.
