The Gurjaani Regional Laboratory of the State Laboratory of Agriculture of Georgia was reconstructed and outfitted with cutting-edge equipment.
Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Mr. Levan Liluashvili, Deputy State Representative of Kakheti region, Mr. Giorgi Machavariani, Mayor of Gurjaani, and Mr. Irakli Guledani, Director of the State Laboratory of Agriculture, attended the meeting at the Gurjaani laboratory.
The participants discussed the directions of diagnosis and research methods adopted in the laboratory, including plans for the future.
"We need a strong agricultural laboratory network; the laboratory building in Gurjaani municipality was renovated and outfitted with new equipment. I would emphasize once again that the laboratory industry is actively developing throughout the country, ensuring the quality control and integration of Georgian products into the European Union market’’ said Mr. Solomon Pavliashvili.
According to the Mayor of Gurjaani, having an ‘’international-level laboratory’’ is crucial for the municipality.
The Representatives of the National Food Agency, Rural Development Agency, Kakheti Regional Administration, and the State Laboratory of Agriculture attended the meeting at the Gurjaani laboratory.
