Visit to Belgium
Anna Gulbani, deputy director of the State Laboratory of Agriculture, was on a working visit to Belgium.
Within the framework of the visit to Belgium, the members of the Georgian delegation visited the laboratories of the Federal Agency for Health, Food Safety and Environment, as well as the Research Institute of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Ghent Institute of Biotechnology and got acquainted with modern diagnostic methods.
Workshops took place as part of the tour at the Brussels Environment Agencies, the Belgian Environment and Food Research, Food Safety, and the Federal Agency for Health, Food Safety, and the Environment in Belgium.
As part of the "Save Nature - Georgia" project, members of the Georgian delegation were in Belgium on a working visit.
Since 2021, the International Development Cooperation Agency of the Swedish Government (Sida) has provided support for the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia's "Save Nature-Georgia" initiative, which has been operating successfully.
The goal of the project is to improve the sustainable management of natural resources in Georgia, to promote the protection and restoration of biodiversity, to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry and the agencies included in it, for which a number of important activities are being carried out.
It should be mentioned that as part of the visit, mutual plans were created and an agreement was formed on future cooperation between the State Laboratory of Agriculture and the host organizations' laboratories.The State Laboratory of Agriculture actively cooperates with international organizations.
