Representatives of the State Laboratory of Agriculture were on a working visit to Montenegro
In Montenegro, within the framework of the regional meeting of the Balkans and the Black Sea, a meeting of the coordination council of the representatives of the laboratories of the partner countries was held.
The representatives of the participating countries discussed the laboratory capabilities, current activities and future plans. The conversation touched on the strengthening of existing cooperation between the countries and the directions for the diagnosis of zoonotic diseases within the framework of a single healthcare approach. Special attention was paid to the methods of laboratory diagnosis of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV).
The event was held within the MediLabSecure project. The State Laboratory of Agriculture has been cooperating with international organizations for five years. Within the framework of the MediLabSecure project, laboratory specialists regularly undergo training to improve their qualifications.
Representatives of the laboratory sector of Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey participated in the meetings held in Montenegro, together with the Georgian side.
It should be noted that the State Laboratory of Agriculture actively cooperates with international organizations. Within the framework of cooperation, a number of important projects have been implemented and are ongoing.
