The State Laboratory of Agriculture is the country's first laboratory to receive the status of reference laboratory

#

The State Laboratory of Agriculture team has been working on achieving the aforementioned status since 2015. The laboratory network allows for the conduct of reference studies in three main fields: food diagnostics, animal diseases diagnostic, and plant pests diagnostics.

As a result of years of work and consultations, the laboratory was given the reference status. The laboratory team actively collaborated with both national and international organizations and specialists.

A laboratory with authority that performs a reference laboratory test on a sample taken within the parameters of state control is considered to hold the status of reference laboratory.

The lab is permitted to run reference examinations on the test samples. Additionally, the State Laboratory of Agriculture may mentor any laboratories that are interested in doing so in order to introduce different research methodologies and train specialists.

The findings of worldwide reference tests, which were previously only accessible in reference laboratories of other nations, can now be obtained immediately by business owners and other interested parties.

The State Laboratory of Agriculture's network of reference studies is listed on the laboratory's website at http://sla.gov.ge/Ge/Files/ViewFile/3202
