The Department of Animal Diseases Diagnostics successfully passed the qualification test
The laboratory of virology and molecular biology of the Department of Animal Diseases Diagnostics of the State Laboratory of Agriculture has successfully passed the international qualification test.
The qualifying test was about:
• BSE-Scrapie Antigen Detection ELISA Panel - Enzyme-linked immunoenzymatic analysis (ELISA) method. Antigen detection test.
The laboratory performed 100% on the qualification testing panel.
The panel consisted of 5 samples: four positive and one negative. The result obtained by the specialists of the State Laboratory of Agriculture coincided with the results of the referral laboratory.
Qualification testing was organized by internationally recognized organizations:
• Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA-Scientific) – VETQAS / Animal and Plant Health Agency;
• Weybridge.
By participating in the international qualification test, it is checked how accurate the diagnosis of this or that disease is made by the already implemented method.
It should be noted that the laboratory has been conducting research on the disease under investigation for about a year.
Laboratory specialists worked with the diagnostic kit of IDEXX manufacturer (Netherlands).
The State Laboratory of Agriculture fulfilled 100% of international requirements.
The research methods in the laboratory are accredited.
