New research methods have been introduced in the State Laboratory of Agriculture
The State Agricultural Laboratory's Animal Diseases Diagnostics Department and the Food Research Department both adopted new research techniques.
Spongiform encephalopathy in cattle can already be screened for in the Animal Diseases Diagnostics Department.
In the Department of Food Research, the following studies were introduced:
• determination of aflatoxin M1 in milk;
• Determination of macrolides and thiamulin in honey.
It is especially important to provide the population with quality and harmless products such as milk and honey.
The verified R-056-2020-G techniques, high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC/MS/MS), and ELISA (ELISA-AG) methods used in the lab have all been accredited nationally and are now on the list of 2020 laboratory research projects.
The State Laboratory of Agriculture conducts research with the highest caliber equipment and is accredited globally.
It is important to highlight that the State Laboratory of Agriculture is operating efficiently and complying to all the rules established within the current epidemiological environment.
