The diagnosis of rabies throughout Georgia is possible only at the State Laboratory of Agriculture

#

The State Laboratory of Agriculture has many years of experience diagnosing the rabies virus. The story begins in 1957, when the rabies department was created in the laboratory.

Currently, the rabies virus is diagnosed in the laboratory using internationally recognized methods and modern equipment.

Considering the severity of the disease and the spread of the rabies virus from animals to humans, the responsibility regarding the diagnosis of the said disease is high.

In order to improve the diagnosis of rabies, the State Laboratory is equipped with the necessary diagnostic tools and equipment. Modern methods of diagnosing rabies are introduced in the laboratory. The laboratory is equipped with a biosafety cabinet and a modern microscope and the department is staffed by highly qualified specialists who have undergone numerous training sessions with specialists from various international reference laboratories.

The laboratory joins World Rabies Day and encourages you to vaccinate your animals.
